September is “Suicide Awareness” month and today, we want to honor our own athlete, Megan and her family. Megan’s brother, Justin Tyler Karpel suffered from depression and took his own life on Valentines Day, 2017. He was only years 23 old. His death has not only affected Megan, who at the time was 8 months pregnant but both of her parents as well as her entire family. Mental illness comes in many forms; depression, anxiety and bipolar which can lead to suicide. In many cases, this disorder can be treated. We pray that today’s workout will be another form of healing for Megan and her family. We also hope to encourage someone who might be suffering to get the help they need.
